What age are these books for?

Liberty's Principles Pals picture books are designed for children ages 4-8. The stories work great as read-alouds for younger kids (even 3-year-olds) and as independent reading for early readers up to 2nd or 3rd grade.

How long are the books?

Each book is a 36-page paperback picture book featuring 13 illustrated spreads (26 pages of story), plus a preface, epilogue, and activity pages. They're sized at 8.5" x 8.5" for easy reading and beautiful illustrations.

Do I need to read them in order?

No! While there's a progression through the 25 founding principles, each book tells a complete story. You can read them in any order. That said, starting with Book 1 ("Ande and the Natural Laws") is a great introduction to the characters and the garden.

Are these religious books?

The books teach America's founding principles, some of which were inspired by Judeo-Christian values (as were our founding documents). The content is presented historically and age-appropriately, focusing on universal values like honesty, kindness, fairness, and responsibility. Families of all backgrounds have enjoyed the stories.

The complete series launches July 4, 2026! All 29 stories are written and illustrated. We're finalizing print production now. You can preview all books on this website and pre-order the full series (coming soon).
